Meet the MOPS Mentor Moms! These women have gone before us and are at various stages post-babyhood. They are here to support and encourage us through the sharing of their wisdom and experiences.
Christine has been married to her husband Colin for 24 years. They have 6 children: Ashleigh (22), Katie (21), Michael (19), Alyssa (16), Matthew (15) and Kaylee (12). She has been working at home part-time as an administrative assistant for Montgomery County Fellowship of Christian Athletes for the last six years. She loves hanging out with her family and finding good deals. She is excited for a new year to reconnect with ladies from MOPS and to meet new moms. This year she is hoping to be able to attend more MNO's. Its so great being able to spend time with moms outside of MOPS!
Mindy has been married to her husband Jeremy for 22 years. They have 7 children: Nate (21), Lela (19), Justin (17), C.J. (14), Brianna (12), Karis (10) and Zach (9). She homeschooled all of the children for 14 years until last year when the youngest three began attending Living Grace Christian School. Her oldest left for the Army last April and Lela graduated this past June. She's still homeschooling Justin and C.J. while looking for opportunities to grow personally, hence joining the Mentor Mom's group this year. She loves rollerskating with her kids and hopes to find more time to read this year. She's trusting the Lord to use her to encourage the young(er) moms this year as a Mentor Mom!! Let's do this!!!

My name is Nancy Aman and this is my second year as a Mentor Mom for MOPS! I have been married to my husband James for 29 years, and we have 3 adult children. My oldest son Josh works as a firefighter with Montgomery County. My second son, Tim. works at a doctor's office with medical records and attends UMD part-time. My daughter Beth is a senior at Salisbury University, majoring in English Ed. I have a Master's degree in Early Childhood Special Education, but have not taught for many years, choosing to stay at home and homeschool my kids instead. I do work part-time as a nanny/chauffeur and also have 2 tutoring students this year.
I am a follower of Jesus, and my home church is DBC, where my husband and I serve as care group leaders for the older singles' group. I also head up the Care and Comfort ministry and lead our Angel Friend team, which reaches out to pregnant moms in need. I love serving as a mentor mom in MOPS, as my passion is supporting moms with young children.
